New in the shop: Daily Life Templates

For 2014 I have changed up my design for my Project Life Album. Keeping things clean and simple and going with the non-rounded look! For my pages I am using these Daily Life Templates, that can now be found in my shop:

I am super excited for the change this year and am loving the streamlined look of these templates.

For my title page I used the basic template:

and used the 11 photo template for the first week of the year:

  1. What are you doing to me?!?! Now I want these templates. I love the simple, clean lines of everything! I'm sure you've answered this several times already, but what is your plan as far as themes/colors/kits...are you still incorporating Project Life Digital elements? I LOVE the title card! I'm completely stumped about how to do my title cards this year. I want to implement what you did with all similar 2013 title cards. It really helps bring the album together. You rock Jennifer.

    1. Thank you Sara, you are too sweet!! I have such a love for the digital project life elements it will be hard to exclude them completely this year. Just trying to simplify so I can keep up better. Not sure if I will be able to keep the year this simple but I can always change it up if I'm not happy :) That is the joy of this project!!

Ahh what a shame I'm on android (and take most my pics with my DSLR) - I was wondering the same as I love the little polaroid-style pics!

  5. I was wondering about your plans to put this in a shutterfly book. I printed my 2013 book with the project life templates and the binding almost cut off my words and pictures. The border on your template is even smaller so I'm worried about it cutting off. Is there something you can do when uploading these to be printed to save parts of it from being cut off? I did my first week with both your template and the PL template and I'm trying to decide which one to use going forward. Thanks!

    1. That is a great question Elizabeth! For my 2014 project life album I don't plan to print through shutterfly. I am going to do the same thing I did in 2013 and print my pages 12x12 through persnickety prints. I used shutterfly for my 2012 album and was bummed when even the Becky Higgins Project Life templates got cut off in the photo books there. If I ever printed them in book for again, I would definitely add a larger border around the template before printing. It would be pretty easy to do. Just open a new 12x12 document in your photo editing program and place your finished page onto the document. Then I would resize the finished project life page to maybe 95% (or so) so there ends up being a nice white border around the entire page, then save it as a new file and upload that one to shutterfly to print :) I hope that makes sense! If not let me know and I could do a quick tutorial here for you!!

    2. Thanks! That is helpful. I think I need to do that for this year.
