DHD [inter] National Scrapbook Day – Blog Hop Freebie!
This weekend is [inter] National Scrapbook Day, and as part of the
hoopla at Design House Digital, we’ve got an awesome collaboration kit
from the Design House Digital designers, called Retrospect:
Did you know that you can grab it for free? FREE! And, to make it even easier, it’s right in the shop at DHD, and all you have to do is follow along on the blog hop to grab the coupon code, and then download at your convenience. Pretty darn awesome, huh? So, if you wandered in to my blog first, you need to stop right now and head back to the beginning.
My love for digital scrapbooking turned into obsession once I figured out how quickly I could create a layout using templates. When I was a paper scrapbooker I was a HUGE fan of Becky Higgins sketches in Creating Keepsakes. For me seeing a sketch of what my layout would look like gave me a starting point and a finishing point and a sort of map to follow of where to put everything along the way! Once I discovered these magical things called templates that work just like sketches, but easier...well I was hooked :P
*if you don't know how to use templates yet check out this video tutorial. Learning how easy templates work, may very well change your scrapping life!*
I am not ashamed to say I am a template scrapper. Very rarely do I actually start a layout and finish it without the help of a template. It makes my crazy busy life easier, and i get more pages done and completed for the boys scrapbooks and for that I am forever grateful to the amazing designers that create templates!
In honor of iNSD, I created a template to share with you today:
And now, on to some fun stuff! I’m having a little contest here, and the
winner will get a $10 gift certificate to Design House Digital! Just use this template to create a layout, easy as that! Leave me a comment with a link to your layout and you will be entered into a drawing. The contest ends Tuesday, May 8 at 8:00pm EST!
If you’re doing the DHD Layout Challenge, my challenge is to use 5 photos on your layout. (the same number as in my template, hint hint!)
Don’t forget to grab your letter, because you’ll need that to get the amazing Retrospect kit free! (and by letter I guess I mean number, because I am an individual like that, ha!)
Now, head on over to Robyn's amazing blog to see what this talented designer is up to :)
