proud momma

today i totally had a proud momma moment. After getting the boys in bed and books picked out to read. Drew decided to start reading Green Eggs and Ham all by himself....and he continued to read the whole thing to me...all the way to the end :D I was beyond thrilled, I know he is a smart little cookie, but he doesn't usually share his knowledge with others. He is very quiet and shy and this was TOTALLY a big deal. A big deal for him, he was so proud and even said "my throat is sore from reading all those words!" A big deal for me, I feel so much better seeing in person that be is learning and growing as a reader. He is really enjoying school this year, and that my friends makes me one happy momma :)
