This weekend
This weekend was great, busy (as usual), but great!!
I had my Altered Board books class friday night, and that always makes me happy. Being creative, playing with mod podge, sandpaper and scrapbook supplies, teaching other to be creative, and all while getting paid...it doesn't get much better than that :) I spent the rest of the night (until 1 am) trying to get some photos and paper together and finishing up my embellishments for our swap, for saturdays crop.
Saturday Morning I got up around 7:30 and finished packing my stuff and headed to The Scrapbook Zone in Farmington Hills, for a crop with some of the pubsters at Twopeas. I was running late, that with staying up so late on Friday night, so I was a little speed demon on the road.
Which I in no way condone, that or trying to take photos while you are driving...tsk, tsk, tsk...it is a big no-no...but I did it anyway. I got to the Zone about 11:30 and had such a fun day. A day away from the kids and the crazyness, a day for me, a day I have been needing for a while. A wonderful day spent with friends, shopping, scrapping, talking, laughing, scrapping, shopping...and so on...you see the pattern!! Ok...well to tell the truth, that wasn't really my pattern. I did more of the shopping and talking and less of the scrapping. I think I did more staring at photos, that I did scrapping photos :( I just didn't have the creativity in me, but that's ok. I did finish one page for Mary, and then started these other two, who knows when I will ever finish them.
Here is some of the stuff I was ever so happy to bring home. Lots of yummy new supplies :)
and two of my favorite purchases of the day:
Here are most of the ladies I spent the day with. I borrowed this photo from Sharon, who is in the back row, 2nd from the right :)
Oh, and thanks to everyone that left me comments last week, when I really needed them!!
